I didn’t criticise online universities, nor did I say there is anything wrong with doing on online degree.

I said, or rather implied, that qualifications from Belford University are a joke, and they are. Any institution that’s prepared to issue a degree certificate within a few days of someone enrolling on a course, and/or offer PhDs based on “personal goals, lifestyle, hobbies, and travel” or ”participation in volunteer activities and community service” is not a credible education establishment.

The only people who believe a qualification from somewhere like that actually means something are those who’ve been foolish enough to pay for one.

This is unnecessary criticism at an online university. There is nothing wrong in acquiring a degree from any online university whether it is Belford or some other university.

Indeed. I find the whole “Obama is a Muslim” schtick utterly depressing. It’s a deliberate attempt to play to that 30% (worryingly high) of Americans who seem to view Muslims as in some way dangerous and subhuman.

I can’t really get away from the feeling that there are lots on the right who can’t stand having a black president who speaks better english than they do. Perhaps that’s only me.
