Eyewitness Helena Ganzyuk
Residents from the small village of Brailov in central Ukraine believe a strange event that took place earlier this month must have been down to extraterrestrial beings. A number of villagers were initially woken in the early hours by an intensely bright light, which was followed shortly afterwards by the sensation of static electricity in the air.
The locals, who are mainly farmers, were then further shocked by a feeling described by some as like an electrical current passing through their bodies.
By morning, tracks a few centimetres wide were spotted in people’s gardens, and several of the witnesses fell ill with symptoms such as vomiting and high temperatures. Hangovers? Experts, who were later called in to investigate the incident, confirmed that radioactivity levels were high but not excessive (the village isn’t exactly a million miles away from Chernobyl).
Conclusion: hmmm, tricky one – another case of little green men or excessive consumption of vodka. . . .
